Sea Keepers has placed a 35.4-metre high speed passenger ferry on the market for direct sale. The vessel is an aluminium monohull fast ferry built in Australia in 1995 to the Wavemaster design, rebuilt and refurbished in 2018–2019, and now lying afloat in Karachi, Pakistan. It is offered for direct sale, as is, where is, with the price available on application.
Key particulars at a glance
Length overall is 35.4 m on a 31.6 m waterline, with a 7.3 m beam, 2.85 m moulded depth and a maximum draft of 2.10 m. Loaded displacement is 90 tonnes. Propulsion is by Caterpillar C32 marine diesel (1,044.5 kW) turning a five-blade 1,150 mm propeller, giving a design speed of 28.3 knots at 75% load. A Perkins P50 generator (50 kVA / 40 kW, 400/230 V, 50 Hz) carries the hotel load. Fuel capacity is 9,800 litres in two groups of tanks, fresh water 1,600 litres, and life-saving appliances are provided for 220 persons.
Built for open-water passenger routes
Passengers travel in two fully enclosed saloons with airline-style reclining seats, large windows and an internal stairway between decks. Forward there is an open foredeck with railings and lifebuoys, side decks run the length of the superstructure, and the aft deck provides space for boarding and luggage. The raised wheelhouse carries a full navigation console with radar, chart display, engine controls and helm seat. A galley and crew pantry and passenger toilets are fitted on the main deck.
This layout is typical of the Australian-built fast ferries that have served island and coastal routes across Asia and the Pacific for three decades. Aluminium construction keeps displacement low for the size of the vessel, which is what allows a 35 m hull carrying more than two hundred people to make 28 knots on a single C32 installation.
Who this vessel suits
The ferry is well matched to operators adding capacity on routes such as Dar es Salaam–Zanzibar–Pemba, Gulf island and resort shuttles in the UAE, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain, Red Sea tourist runs from Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh, and river-sea passenger services in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the Maldives. With its speed, fuel range and passenger capacity it also works as an offshore crew boat, and charter operators and brokers in the Mediterranean, West Africa and the Caribbean can put it to work immediately rather than waiting years for a newbuild.
Inspection, survey and delivery from Karachi
The vessel can be inspected afloat in Karachi by appointment. Sea Keepers' naval architects will walk buyers through the hull, machinery spaces and documentation, and can arrange independent condition surveys, engine trials and an underwater inspection. For buyers who cannot travel straight away we provide a video walk-through and the full specification pack, including the general arrangement and survey status.
Karachi is roughly 450–1,000 nautical miles from the main Gulf ports and about 2,400 nautical miles from Dar es Salaam, so own-keel delivery with a Sea Keepers delivery crew is practical for most regional buyers. Heavy-lift shipment can be arranged for the Mediterranean, West Africa and the Americas. Reflagging, class transfer, seat-plan changes and refit work can all be completed before handover.
What is not published, and why
In line with normal second-hand vessel sale practice, the vessel's name, IMO number, registered owner and manager, and engine serial numbers are not shown publicly. These are disclosed to qualified buyers under a non-disclosure agreement at offer stage, together with the class and registry records. Everything needed to evaluate the vessel technically is available in the specification pack on request.
To request the pack, arrange an inspection or discuss delivery to your port, use the enquiry form on the listing page or email gm-tech@seakeepers.co.
